The Sheepdogs
The Sheepdogs are a Canadian rock band from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, formed in 2004. They are celebrated for their classic rock sound—twin guitars, rich vocal harmonies, and blues-rock grooves—and for their high-energy live performances.
Their breakthrough came in 2011 when they became the first unsigned band to appear on the cover of Rolling Stoneafter winning the magazine’s “Choose the Cover” contest. Their album Learn & Burn (2010) went platinum in Canada and earned them three Juno Awards in 2012, including Rock Album of the Year, New Group of the Year, and Single of the Year for “I Don’t Know.” To date, they have received over ten Juno nominations and four wins.
Over the years, The Sheepdogs have toured extensively across North America, Europe, and Australia, sharing stages with major acts such as Bryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Rival Sons, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Sam Roberts Band, and Matt Mays. They’ve also performed at some of the world’s leading festivals, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, SXSW, and Lollapalooza.
In 2025, The Sheepdogs joined Bryan Adams on his international tour, bringing their signature rock energy to arenas across Canada and beyond. The band also continues to release new music, including the single “Nobody But You” and the EP Hell Together, while celebrating the return of their full music catalogue to their independent label, Right On Records.
